Barbara Ward passed away on Friday 10th January 2025 in Nightingales Hospice in Wrexham. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November 2024.
Barbara was a conscientious and professional maths teacher under the leadership of Liz Scott, and an amazingly supportive colleague throughout her many years at Oswestry School. She contributed to the wider life of the school in many ways, including boarding and helping run the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Away from her work she was a passionate runner and cyclist along with her husband Mick. She loved the outdoors and spent happy times walking and camping. In recent years she has been involved with Parkrun, the Berwyn Ramblers group and has volunteered at Chirk Castle, giving her time willingly to help others.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
