Both were OOs. Peter was at the School between 1943-1948 and Brian between 1952-1957.

Like some other local families, the Tomleys have had a long association with the School.

It began in 1916 when George, Peter and Brian’s father, started at the School. Three of George’s younger brothers followed him. Peter’s wife Beryl was Chair of Governors at the School and their two boys, Roger and Michael attended the School as did Brian’s two boys, Gordon and Christopher. Two of Roger’s children were pupils at the school, one becoming Head Girl, while all three of Gordon’s studied at the School with one being Head Boy - that is four generations of the family!

Peter and Brian were local farmers who were well known and respected in the community. They will be missed by many.
