At just 21 years old, Timo, now a teaching assistant with a passion for running and coding, is undertaking this extraordinary 100-mile endurance race to raise funds for Compassion UK, a charity dedicated to supporting children worldwide who face barriers through poverty.
Speaking about the challenge, Timo said:
"In April, I’ll be taking on the incredible challenge of running 100 miles in Chester as part of the GB Ultras event. This endurance challenge will be a journey of resilience and determination, and I’m excited to channel my passion for running into achieving something truly meaningful."
Timo has a clear vision for his efforts. He added:
"I believe my purpose is to play an active role in eradicating poverty and creating opportunities for those in need. My mission is to make a tangible difference by fundraising for impactful charities like Compassion UK through running challenges."
Compassion UK focuses on sponsoring children around the globe, providing them with access to education, healthcare, and essential resources to overcome the challenges of poverty. Timo's determination to support the organization reflects his deep belief that every child deserves a fair chance to dream and thrive.
"Poverty should never be a barrier to education," Timo explained. "I’m committed to making a difference by putting my passion for running toward this cause."
The GB Chester Ultra 100 is renowned for testing the limits of endurance athletes, with participants navigating a grueling course through the scenic countryside of Chester and its surroundings. Timo’s dedication and drive are evident as he balances his demanding training schedule with his work and other commitments.
With less than three months to go, Timo is calling on supporters to join him in his mission by donating to his fundraising efforts for Compassion UK.
