Oswestry School is pleased to announce the appointment of Jo Wilton as its new Alumni Relations Manager from the start of the Trinity Term 2026. With a background in Recruitment, Corporate Finance and Education in London, Manchester and North Wales, Jo brings a wide-ranging skillset alongside a people-centred approach and a passion for all things Oswestry School.
With all three of Jo’s children having attended Oswestry (with her youngest daughter concluding her A Level studies this summer), her association with the school spans two decades and includes playing an active role as a member of the Friends of Oswestry School (FoOS) Committee, during which time she has developed strong relationships with the school. Outside of work, Jo’s interests are many and varied whether enjoying outdoor country pursuits or sporting activity, or equally just curled up with a good book!
Jo commented, “I am absolutely thrilled to be moving into the official role of Alumni Relations Manager. I boarded at my own school from age nine to eighteen and have been an active part of my own school alumni, therefore I feel passionate about how school can provide ongoing connections and community. I confidently support our School’s motto ‘we learn not for school, but for life’ and as Alumni Relations Manager, I am committed to building meaningful relationships between alumni, pupils, families and the school, helping to ensure that the education and connections formed here continue to support and inspire us throughout our lives.”
“I am very much looking forward to getting to know Old Oswestrians of all generations and ages, and working for you, with you and on your behalf whether that’s helping to organise long-overdue reunions or welcoming you back for campus tours. I look forward to hearing from you about your university journeys, professional careers, travels, families, new hobbies and even mid-life adventures! It’s a big world out there and sometimes it’s wonderful to reconnect with a community that helps us feel grounded, connected and supported.”
Headmaster Peter Middleton commented, “We are delighted to be welcoming Jo aboard, and I’ve every confidence that she will be warmly welcomed by the Oswestry School alumni community, and that they in turn will benefit greatly from Jo’s passion, energy, initiative and enthusiasm for all things Oswestry. Here’s to an exciting future ahead for alumni relations!”
Jo joins the Oswestry School team at the start of the Trinity Term 2026 and will be contactable by email; alumni@oswestryschool.com.
