Richard arrived at Oswestry from St Chad's, a former Prep Schol in Prestatyn. His parents were working in Nigeria and he joined the boarding community of Holbache House.

Not a sporty boy, Richard signed up to help the grounds team at Oswestry, an option that was available back then.

Following his GCEs Richard was accepted at Shrewsbury Art School, but at the same time his father announced he was moving to Canada and Richard chose to go with him rather than continue his education in the UK.

Richard trained to be an aerospace engineer, but in 1997 became a Missionary, and soon after a Reverend.

Richard still lives in Canada and has three daughters and has lovingly kept his CCF badge all these years.
