After leaving school Tom took a gap year which was cut short by COVID. In mid 2020 he found himself volunteering for a small charity in North Wales and at the start of 2021 Tom was offered a job by the charity. He is currently still there working with a great team to restore one of Wales' hidden gems. Gwrych Castle (the temporary home for the TV programme I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!)!
Demetre sadly did not get to Oxford despite his offer, so he decided to do a gap year and pass SAT exams and apply to Universities in the USA. So during his gap year (2019-2020) Demetre worked as a private tutor, teaching Physics and Mathematics (A-levels, IB, APs, SATs, etc.) to students in Gerorgia and around the world. In April 2020 he received an offer from Carnegie Mellon University with a full $75,000 scholarship a year towards a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Demetre has completed the first 3 years on Doha Campus and is now going to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to finish his final year of Bachelors at CMU.
Last year Demetre received an offer from Google for a summer internship in their London Office. He has just started the internship on 12 June and he repports that it has been going fantasticly so far!
