Stardom beckons for former pupil Rowen

Former Oswestry School pupils releases first song on Spotify

Aspiring songwriter Rowen McGuire (OO 2016-21) has realised a dream with the release of her first song on Spotify. Rowen was a pupil here from 1st to 5th form and is now about to complete the second year of a Songwriting degree course. Once she completes her course, she hopes to continue her studies with a Masters in Songwriting.

Her single, written in collaboration with another artist, has been released today (May 2nd) on Spotify.  Rowen's band is called Lovestreet and the song is called Curiosity.

Rowen's mother, Elizabeth McGuire, is the Housemistress at Guinevere House and said: "Rowen's is a story of someone following her dreams, her passions and today is a celebration of a first step towards all those things becoming a reality."

So, you heard it here first! Please click here to listen to the song: Curiosity/Lovestreet

We wish Rowen and her band all the very best for the future.
