Tony represented the School at sports and played in the 1st XI football team (Tony is 4th from left on back row). Three in the photograph are now deceased, Saleem Khan, Graham Arthan and John Hare (teacher).
The Abel family are well known in Oswestry having had a successful fruit and veg business based behind the Bear pub. Tony was one of four boys and married Jennifer in 1974 having two daughters, Victoria and Elizabeth and two grandchildren.
