Abou Darbo (2013-17) and Marlene Schrader (2014-15) have exchanged vows and now begin another part of their journey together.
Marlene came to Oswestry for a year in September 2014 from Berlin to improve her English and to experience boarding school culture. Here she met Abou, and they have been inseparable ever since. After his A levels Abou moved to the US to continue his studies while Marlene remained in Germany, but distance didn't worry the couple and their relationship blossomed.
Both now live in Germany. Abou is studying for his MBA (Masters in Business Administration) and Marlene is studying for her Masters in Product Design (both are working at the same time too!).
Congratulations to them both from the Old Oswestrian Society and everyone at Oswestry School!
