Dan places 20 in world ranking golf event

Taking place in a world ranking golf event is no walk in the park for Dan Haycocks (2008-21), but he still placed 20 out of 105 competitors.

The event Dan took part in was the Midland Union Youths Amateur Championships 2021, held at Stoke Rochford Golf Club, Lincolnshire, set in the stunning grounds of Rochford Hall.

Played over 5 days the competition sees the top 40 players make the cut after the first two rounds; they then go on to play the Championship which is again completed over two rounds (36 holes).

After 3 rounds Dan, having shot 71, 73 and 68, lay in 8th position, but in the final rounds his Gold DofE walk that he's just completed caught up with him, and shooting a round of 7 over par, he finished in 20th place.

Another great event to add to his growing experience!
