100 Year Anniverary of OO landspeed record

Today marks the 100th year anniversary of Old Oswestrian, John Godfrey Parry-Thomas, setting the land speed record!

The Wrexham-born motorist set the record on this day in 1926, on Pendine Sands, Carmarthenshire, in Babs the car. Our headmaster is visiting the site today to commerate the achievement and celebrate the centenary alongside the Museum of Land Speed.
