After retiring aged seventy, David had time to devote himself to doing something that he wishes he could have done as a career, painting and writing.

David is currently trying to find a publisher for a book, or series of books to be published, called 'A Thousand Sonnets' which has been completed by him recently. He also writes longer poems which cover a tremendous variety of subjects.

Having never tried to sell a single item of his work so far, as he has always treated it as just a hobby, David's wife urged him to do something as the quantity was taking over the garage!

Whitewall's are now interested in a small section of David's painting and poetry, and next Saturday (30 July, 2022) David will be showing a collection of thirty of his paintings and poetry, the majority framed and about a dozen mounted paintings, inclusive of poetry. The exhibition is unique with poetry talking with paintings encapsulated within the same frame, which David believes has never been done by any artist before. This art work has travelled with David over the last 40 to 50 years, so covers a lot of ground.

The address of the gallery is:

Grosvenor Shopping Centre, Unit 5 -7, St Michael's Row, Chester CH1 1EL
